Police Captain Reginal Grigsby
Police Captain shoots his own son during a family dispute. Son later agrees to a plea bargain on assault with a deadly weapon and gets 1 year in jail. Many unanswered questions.
A felony assault, by a son on his mother, reportedly so severe that a veteran police captain cannot control the situation without shooting his son, and the son only gets one year in jail. Other street kids go to prison for many years without a violent assault.
Captain Grigsby had also previously filed a 5 Million Dollar claim against the Oceanside Police Department and the City with allegations of long term racial discrimination, just like Officer Damon Smith. Grigsby was reportedly paid $23,500.00 to settle the claim against the City Of Oceanside.

Garcia was the investigating officer in the cover up of DUI by Sgt. Larson - Garcia was later Fired, Quietly, under allegations of Sexual Harassment of a Nurse employee. Firing Provides the City With A Defense To Avoid Paying Garcia's Legal Expenses, After A Law Suit Was Filed by the Department Nurse.
Officer Garcia later told the North County Times that he was fired because he refused to destroy audio tape evidence in the Sgt. David Larson drunk driving cover up. Garcia stated Chief Frank McCoy and Capt. Reginald Gribsby had ordered him to destroy the audio tape evidence, and Garcia had refused.
The Sgt. Larson evidence tampering cover up was occurring at the same time as the Officer Damon Smith, and Officer Jon Domonique audio tape evidence tape tampering.
